Dan Gensel

With over 12 years of audio production experience, Daniel Gensel is a multi-genre producer and engineer that you can trust to do your music justice - no matter your sound.

His instrumental work stretches from guitar, bass, drums, piano and keyboard to playing samplers and using DAW manipulation. Having gotten his start working weddings and learning audio from DJ's, he began writing music and playing in bands in his early teens. He has worked with programs including Acid , Logic Pro, Pro Tools and is well versed in NI Maschine 2.0 and Logic Pro X.

As a local and touring engineer, Dan has run sound at venues like the Legendary 924 Gilman, on the road across 15 states, and for many underground hip hop artists such as DJ Abilities, Sage Francis, and Ceschi. Through IATSE Local 16 he has worked at the Fillmore and Masonic in San Francisco. His engineering career began as an intern with Chris Paxton at Nexus Audio. Rapidly he went from intern to engineer and worked at various studios including MadlandZ, WDS, and The Audio Lodge. When Audio Lodge studio decided to dissolve the business, Dan and Chris' paths crossed again. Dan found himself attending City College for various audio certificates as well as working at Mothership Studio.
